Descripción
Un codificador rotativo es un elemento que indica mediante un salida codificadas su posición.
El funcionamiento del codificador rotativo es muy sencillo, al girar el eje se generan dos señales cuadradas llamadas canal A y B, si el pin común es puesto a masa y el canal A y B con resistencias de pull-up a Vcc, las señales A y B generadas están desfasadas 90 grados y su secuencia es (A,B):(1,0; 1,1; 01) en un sentido de giro, y (A,B):(0,1; 1,1; 10) en el otro. Esto se conoce como código Grey de 2 bits.
La clave es detectar el flanco de bajada del canal A. En ese momento el sentido de la rotación vienen determinado por el valor del canal B. Hay varios métodos para detectar el código por software y hardware
