Este módulo permite trabajar con el circuito integrado HX711, que facilita la interfaz con celdas de carga para medir peso / fuerza. Al conectar el amplificador al microcontrolador es posible medir los cambios en la resistencia de la celda de carga y con algunas calibraciones y cálculos, es posible obtener medidas bastante precisas.
Esto es ideal para crear tu propia báscula en aplicaciones industriales, realizar sistemas de control de inventario, sistemas de detección de presencia, sistemas de medición automatizada, industria médica., etc.
El HX711 usa una interfaz de 2 hilos para realizar la comunicación. Para esto es posible utilizar 2 pines de I/O de cualquier microcontrolador. En cuanto al software, ya hay varias librerías que permiten realizar la interfaz de este dispositivo con plataformas populares como Arduino.
Las celdas de carga utilizan un puente wheatstone que requiere de 4 conexiones con el HX711, los colores utilizados habitualmente son Rojo, Negro, Blanco, Verde y Amarillo. Cada color corresponde a una señal como se muestra a continuación:
- Rojo: Voltaje de excitación +, E+, VCC
- Negro: Voltaje de excitación -, E-, GND
- Blanco: Amplificador +, Señal +, A+
- Verde: Amplificador -, Señal -, A-
